2020 Board Elections

Below you will find all of the candidates that are running in the current Board of Directors election. iHEA is holding elections to fill two positions: one (1) member-elected Director and the President-elect (serves a six-year term; two years as President-elect, two years as President and two years as Past-president).

The timeline for the election is as follow:

October 28 - November 15: Campaigning
November 18 - 27: Online voting (iHEA members only)
November 29: Election results announced
December: Induction of new Board members

Please take time to review the election statement and CV of each candidate below.

Voting

All iHEA members should have received an email with details on how to vote when the voting system opened on November 18th. If you are a current member and you did not receive this notice, please email us at ihea@healtheconomics.org

Given that there are eight candidates for the single Director position, we will again be using what is known as the “instant-runoff-voting” system, which allows members to rank their preferences for candidates, in this case from 1 to 8.  In terms of this voting system, the person with the least “rank 1” votes in the first round is removed from consideration and their votes will be distributed to the remaining candidates according to the “rank 2” preference.  This process is repeated until there is one candidate with a majority of votes, who will be declared the member-elected director.

If you have any questions about the elections, please reach out to us at ihea@healtheconomics.org.
