Executive Director

 

Di McIntyre

The Executive Director (ED) is appointed by the iHEA Board. The ED works closely with the Board of Directors to develop strategic plans to further the mission of iHEA and her main responsibility is to oversee the implementation of Board-approved plans. She is also responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of iHEA and for ensuring good governance and financial management of the association.

 Di McIntyre is a Professor in the School of Public Health and Family Medicine, University of Cape Town and was the founding Director of its Health Economics Unit.  She holds the South African Research Chair in ‘Health and Wealth’ and is a Foreign Associate of the National Academy of Medicine (formerly the Institute of Medicine - IOM). She has provided extensive, high-level policy inputs within South Africa and other African countries, particularly in relation to health care financing issues. Her present research focus is on conceptual and empirical research around how to achieve universal coverage in low- and middle-income countries and how to promote health system equity, including through strategic purchasing. She also contributes to global initiatives, including serving on the Chatham House High-Level Working Group on sustainable financing for universal coverage. She has also been centrally involved in developing health economics capacity within the African region, including establishing the first health economics Masters program in Africa. She served on the Board of the African Health Economics and Policy Association (AfHEA) and the Board of the International Health Economics Association (iHEA). She was appointed to serve as the Executive Director of iHEA from January 2016.

The Board of Directors appointed Managing Matters to provide association management services for iHEA. There are several advantages of contracting a professional association management company such as Managing Matters which provides support to several professional associations, including: economies of scale; access to a large team of highly skilled professionals; and cross-fertilization of ideas across associations.

Nicole Cork, Account Manager

 

Nicole will be the main lead on all initiatives and activities for the association, outside of Events and Accounting. Nicole has worked with many associations, both national and international and is highly focused on efficiencies, sharing of best practices, as well as program development and implementation. 

 

Natalie Hill, Account Coordinator

 

Natalie will be working alongside Nicole on all initiatives and activities for the association. 

 

 

Sarah Stockton, Event Coordinator


Sarah will be managing the congress and abstract submission platform for iHEA.

 

 

Pearl Chen, CPA, CGA, Accounting Manager

 

Pearl will be working on our accounting team to manage and oversee all financial operations for iHEA.

 

 

Jenny Faucher CEO & President

 

Jenny will be active in working with the rest of the iHEA MM team to develop and implement strategies that will help to grow the association and increase member engagement.
