The role
As part of our continuing expansion, Medaxial is creating the new position of Director, Health Economics and Market Access. This position is intended to enhance significantly the company’s profile and capabilities.
The role will involve:
- Establishing an HE/MA center of excellence within the company
- Controlling the quality of our HE/MA-related output
- Providing HE/MA support for project teams, including group training and individual mentoring
- Undertaking direct or shared supervision of projects with challenging HE/MA content
- Contributing to innovative solutions for pitches and projects in development
- Supporting business development by helping to optimize relationships with clients and contacts
- Taking a lead role in initiating and running Medaxial seminars, workshops and activities at international conferences and meetings
- Providing input into the strategic development of the company
The Director, Health Economics and Market Access will report to the Managing Director of Medaxial, and will work alongside the Vice President, Consultancy Services, who is responsible for managing our project teams.
Qualifications
The ideal applicant will combine a high level of health economic literacy with creative instincts and a talent for communicating health economic arguments in a lucid and accessible manner. Specific requirements include:
- A postgraduate qualification in health economics or a related discipline
- At least 3 years’ experience in a health economics/market access role within the healthcare industry, preferably in a global or international context, or equivalent agency experience
- Excellent written and spoken English
- A positive, can-do attitude
- An interest in real-world decision-making and in communicating health economic concepts and arguments to those without formal HE training
Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK, and willing to travel to the US and continental Europe in connection with their work. Salary will be commensurate with experience and potential value to the company.
