Location: Central Switzerland

Senior Position with global project responsibility

Our customer is a world market leader in in-vitro diagnostics with its headquarter in Central Switzerland. More than 1000 well-qualified employees develop and produce technologically groundbreaking analysis instruments, test reagents as well as innovative IT platforms, information and service solutions. These products provide medical decision-makers with actionable health information and thus support first-class medical care of patients.

On behalf of our client and its medical affairs department, we are looking for an expert in health economics.

The position

The Expert in Health Economics has the responsibility to develop and execute global health economic and reimbursement/funding strategies. Overall goal is to demonstrate the economic value of professional used diagnostic solutions and enabling the best possible market access. Economic strategy activities include (but are not limited to) health economics and outcomes research (HEOR), reimbursement and epidemiology support.

The objective of this leading role is to create business value by contributing HEOR expertise in support of new and existing disease areas, products and solution opportunities.

Your main responsibilities

  • Participate in cross-functional teams to produce economic value propositions and value dossiers for key products that will be adapted by country representatives in accordance with local requirements.
  • Develop funding proposals and tools that incorporate clinical and economic evidence (HTA, payer / pricing studies and reimbursement arguments) for new and existing platforms.
  • Support clinical teams with development and implementation of health economics-related endpoints in clinical studies.
  • Lead a global matrix team of health economics and reimbursement specialists.

Your qualifications

  • You have a PhD, PharmD, M.D. or other advanced degree in Health Economics.
  • You should have several years of professional experience within the pharmaceutical or diagnostic industry and at least three years experiences in health economics and outcomes research.
  • You should have a good business/commercial understanding with outstanding organizational skills.
  • It is an advantage if you have experience in preparing and negotiating reimbursement applications and if you have knowledge in clinical study design and execution.
  • You are willing to travel approximately 25% of time.
  • You are used to interact with various international partners and have fluent English skills.
