HERG has a long-standing and internationally recognised programme of policy-relevant and methodological research in health economics. To expand and develop its programme of work, HERG is seeking to appoint a high quality researcher who wishes to further their career in health economics in a vibrant and expanding department.

We are looking to appoint a health economist with a post-graduate qualification in health economics (MSc or PhD) to the position of Research Fellow or Research Assistant, depending on skills and experience. Ideally, candidates should have experience and interest in economic modelling and economic evaluation alongside clinical trials. However, candidates will have the opportunity to develop a broad range of health economics skills, contributing to HERG’s portfolio of applied research. The successful candidate will be expected to identify and develop their expertise in a particular field of health economics, with the necessary support of senior researchers.

The post provides an excellent opportunity to develop a career in health economics research in a well-established and internationally respected research institute. The appointment is initially offered on a two year fixed term basis but there is opportunity for a longer-term appointment.

For an informal discussion of the post, please contact Professor Paul Trueman Tel 01895 267809 email Paul.Trueman@Brunel.ac.uk.

The closing date for applications is 31 August 2010.
