The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is seeking an exceptional candidate for an Economist position.
The Economist will conduct economic, disease model, quality of life, and prevention-effectiveness studies and assessments regarding outcomes of policy development, revision, or implementation.
Major duties include:
Recommend priorities for economic evaluations and assessments of policy development, revision, or implementation activities.
Assist in developing and implementing an economic research agenda related to policy.
Identify methodologies and designs cost-analysis, cost-benefit, cost-effectiveness, cost-utility studies, and mathematical models.
Provide leadership and technical assistance for developing research and evaluation projects, studies, methodology, and cost-effective interventions.
Maintain expertise in the state-of-the art economic evaluation analyses.
Conduct in-depth analyses and prepare technical and non-technical reports, including manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed literature.
