Post-Doctoral Fellows, Assistant/Associate Professors: NUS Centre For Health Policy & Management

Location: Singapore

The National University of Singapore seeks candidates for the positions of Post-Doctoral Fellow and Assistant or Associate Professor with the newly formed Centre for Health Policy & Management, a joint venture between the Schools of Medicine, Business, and Public Policy.

Through a combination of research, advisory work, and executive and graduate-level education, the Centre aims to become the premiere institute for health policy, health economics, and health systems management thinking in Asia. The Centre is looking for Post-Doctoral Fellows and Assistant/Associate Professors in the fields of Health Economics, Health Policy, or a related field, with an interest in working on topics relevant for Asian markets.

The successful candidate(s) will work with interdisciplinary faculty and staff, publish impactful research findings in preferred journals, develop or assist in the development and/or teaching of health economics, policy, or management programs/courses for executives and students, and advise/help to advise Asian governments and/or private companies on their health policy or management agendas. This position, located in Singapore, will report to the Director, Centre for Health Policy & Management.

Formal Education/Experience

You will be an academic/clinician/professional with outstanding scholarship in health economics, health policy or a related discipline. A Ph.D. in Health Economics, Health Policy, or a related field is required. You should be creative, action and result-oriented, able to think strategically, and enjoy working with multiple healthcare constituencies and professional groups, spanning academia, private industry, and government.

About the Centre

Successful applicants will find themselves working in a uniquely multicultural and multidisciplinary environment in one of the cleanest, safest, and most vibrant cities in the world. Though housed in an academic environment, the Centre for Health Policy & Management has a strongly entrepreneurial feel as a new start up run by an expatriate (American) former biomedical scientist, health industry executive, and management consultant. The Centre aims to bridge the disciplines of Business, Medicine, and Policy to tackle real issues facing governments and health systems across Asia. Successful applicants will help shape the future direction of the Centre and will see the impact of their work in real time on the rapidly evolving health systems of Asia.

Salary

We will offer an attractive remuneration package, commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience. We will provide leave and medical benefits, and where eligible, housing benefits and relocation expenses to Singapore.
