An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced health economist looking to build on their experience in developing robust and compelling cost effectiveness analysis that underpins successful market access solutions and reimbursement submissions.
As part of one of the leading UK industry teams you will have the opportunity to influence commercial strategy and work on early evaluations and pricing strategy with global stakeholders.
Ultimately, you will be responsible for the preparation of timely, high quality health economic evidence to support allocated brands and ensure they achieve optimum market access. In addition, your impact will be supported by your communication of strategic value messages to both internal and external customers alike.
Key accountabilities include:
- Preparation of health economic case for allocated brands
- Development of UK strategic pricing position
- Early Health Economic evidence generation
- Effective and valuable contribution to the International Payor Strategy team
- Pro-active thought leadership in UK Market Access Group and Lifecycle teams
Qualifications
Passionate about establishing and demonstrating the ‘cost effectiveness’ argument within the health economics arena you will have built up a solid understanding of the UK HTA requirements and broader environment
Essential qualifications for this position include:
- First degree in economics, statistics or life sciences or related field
- Post graduate qualification in health economics
- Health economic experience within the Pharmaceutical industry
- Detailed understanding of the role of health economics within the NHS and pharmaceutical industry
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of economic evaluation concepts
- High quality demonstrable writing skills
- Excellent project management skills
- Highly systems literate
