Established in 1995, Abacus International is one of the largest independent health economic consultancies in Europe and we are expanding. We specialize in delivering health economic, health technology assessment (HTA) and market access solutions to global and local affiliates of many of the world’s leading pharmaceutical and device companies.

Abacus regularly works with clients throughout the product lifecycle with specialist teams delivering systematic reviews, core global economic models, health technology assessment submissions, value dossiers, manuscripts and conference abstracts / posters, and payer communication tools.

We aim to develop academically robust, technical health economic models which are user-friendly and simple to communicate. We are looking to recruit a highly technical consultant health economist who shares our ethos.

Role Objectives:

Relationship management and liaison with existing clients and the fostering of new client relationships through project work and personal contacts

The provision of strategic direction to project teams in the development of economic evaluation plans, health economic models, HTA submissions and statistical analysis

The coordination and timely delivery of high quality projects including core global economic models, multi-country adaptations, HTA submissions and health economic publications

Your Profile:

  • A positive, pragmatic economist you will have
  • A postgraduate degree in health economics
  • A high-level understanding of health economic principles and analysis
  • Advanced health economic modeling expertise using Excel
  • A proven track record of project delivery and experience in leading health economic projects
  • Demonstrable ability to cope with competing demands
  • A strong customer focus and excellent project and team management skills
  • Exceptional communication skills, especially in respect to communicating health economic principles to non-economists
  • Ability to produce high-level written documents and presentations
  • A sound understanding of medical statistics such as meta-analysis, multiple imputation and survival analysis would be desirable
