Our client, a provider owned, not-for-profit, government programs organization based in the tri-state area, seeks to add to their executive team an entrepreneurial and creative individual to strengthen/build a world class medical economics department.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages and supervises the Medical Economics staff to facilitate standard reporting & ad hoc analysis for all Managed Care lines of business
  • Oversees Medical Economic projects and initiatives
  • Oversees and conducts monthly analyses aimed at reducing costs and utilization and manages financial analysis reporting
  • Manages financial analysis processes
  • Manages product pricing initiatives including Medicare Part C & D bids, MLTC & Medicaid premium proposals, partnerships and other products and services.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Economics, Business or other related field required.

Graduate Degree (MBA or CPA) in Statistics, Healthcare, Economics or Business preferred.

7-10 years experience required in Healthcare Economics, Statistics, Data Analysis, Financial Reporting, Actuary, Managed Care, and/or Long Term Care operations experience Required. Medicare and/or Medicaid Managed Care experience required. Experience with regulatory reporting required.

Knowledge of CMS & NYS DOH regulations preferred. Experience calculating IBNR, BCR (Benefic Cost Ratios) and other metrics preferred. Experience formulating MMCOR and encounter data preferred. Experience developing rate filings including Medicare Advantage Part C & D and MLTC preferred. Multi-level management experience preferred.
