Fellowship in Medication Safety in Primary Care: University of Nottingham

The Division of Primary Health Care in Nottingham has particular expertise in the analysis of large primary care databases and in the development and evaluation of complex interventions in primary care. We have methodological expertise in statistics and health economics.

This Fellowship will enable the successful applicant to develop their research capabilities by contributing to studies in medication safety in primary care.
Projects available will build on existing work relating to one or more of the following topics: identifying the nature and causes of medication errors in primary care; the development and use of prescribing safety indicators in general practice (which may include analysis of large GP databases), and the further development of an IT-based pharmacist led intervention aimed at preventing medication errors.
