Applications are invited for the post of Reader or Senior Lecturer in Health Programme Evaluations. This is a new post created as part of the establishment of the Institute for Global Health. The post holder will lead research in population based interventions, and the evaluation of health care and health promotion activities in developing countries, to supervise PhD students and to assist in the development of new postgraduate taught courses in Global Health.

The Institute for Global Health at Imperial College London has been created under the leadership of Professor Peter Piot to draw together Global Health research from across the University. The Institute will house a number of research groups focusing on partnerships with developing country institutions, undertaking studies of developing country populations and exploring the design and implementation of health care and public health programmes in developing countries.

The appointee will be based at the South Kensington campus and will play an important role in the development of research within the new Institute.

Candidates must possess a PhD in a relevant field (economics, epidemiology, demographics, social science, systems engineering, management), as well as strong experience in the field of population based interventions and health care evaluations as evidenced by a good publication record.

The level of the appointment will depend on the experience and track record of the successful candidate.
