Research Scientist: Center for Health Economic and Science Policy
Location: US and Europe Locations
Position Overview
Independent PI of projects responsible for overseeing all aspects of project delivery; delegates project management tasks to Research Associate III or lower. Takes scientific responsibility for project completion; responsible for strategic consultation and for use of best methods to address research needs.
- Design and conduct studies to evaluate the value of new health care interventions, including pharmaceuticals and medical devices - studies may involve decision analytic models (including Markov models/Monte Carlo simulations), prospective data from clinical trials, and retrospective claims data
- Develop business and foster client relations
- Supervise mid-level staff
Requirements:
- PhD in economics with >= one year of experience; MS >= seven years of experience working within the pharmaceutical or medical device industry or performing applied economic studies in the academic or consulting environment
- Advanced technical skills in econometrics or decision analytic modeling
- Publications in peer reviewed journals, is required.
