NHS Ayrshire and Arran has been committed to the inclusion of health economics and health economists in its decision-making processes for over a decade. During that time the team and its influence has grown considerably by bringing a range of economic techniques and principles to an array of complex problems.

You will provide specialist, high quality, applied economic analyses on a range of issues in a highly complex, sensitive and contentious environment whilst leading on those areas of highest impact and priority.

It is essential that you have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to ensure effective communication, display political astuteness and negotiate complex issues. You must also possess a Degree in Economics and a Post Graduate qualification in Health Economics combined with experience working in an applied economics context, preferably within a Health Service or health economics environment.

Hours: 37.5 per week, over 5 days
