The University of Manchester is seeking an experienced health economist to join a growing health economics team and contribute to the new NIHR Regional Design Service for the North West (RDS-NW). There are three local centres within the regional service, based at the Universities of Lancaster, Liverpool and Manchester. The Greater Manchester centre is a new initiative, and this post is one of several new posts in Manchester for health research methodologists.
You will join a team of senior methodology experts who will work together to provide a comprehensive advisory service for health researchers preparing high-quality, nationally- competitive research funding applications. We are seeking an individual with experience in designing and conducting health economics research and familiarity with a range of methodological approaches. In addition, you will be expected to develop your own methodological and/or collaborative health research programme that is complementary to the existing Health Economics research portfolio at Manchester.
The post is tenable until March 2015 in the first instance. Although this is a full-time post, applications for part-time working will be considered.
