Centre for Economics and Policy in Health
Institute of Medical & Social Care Research
Bangor University

This new post offers an exciting opportunity for career development in
a leading health economics research unit. Based in Bangor University,
and with close links with the University of Liverpool, the post-holder
will benefit from working closely with the established
UKCRC-registered Clinical Trials Research Centre, and the support that
a multi-disciplinary research environment offers.

The post-holder will play a leading role in the conduct of economic
evaluations alongside clinical trials co-ordinated by the Clinical
Trials Research Centre; and in advancing health economic methodologies
within clinical trials via the MRC-funded, University of Liverpool-led
North West Hub for Trial Methodology Research.

The Centre for Economics and Policy in Health, based within the
Institute for Medical and Social Care Research, conducts a portfolio
of research projects, including pharmacoeconomics, economic evaluation
alongside clinical trials and methodological research in health
economics. Further details of the Centre are available at

The post is available to start as soon as possible and is initially
funded for 3 years though there is a high probability the post will be
extended, dependent upon further research funding being awarded to the
post holder and the research unit. The post is intended to be a
full-time appointment although applications for a substantive
part-time appointment are also welcome.
