The Senior Manager will oversee the execution of complex pharmacoeconomic evaluations, including construction of disease models used for cost-effectiveness and budgetary impact analyses for major industry clients. This role provides excellent opportunities for collaboration with thought leaders in the field, and for publication and presentation of study findings.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing health economic studies, including providing technical guidance in study design and execution
  • Preparation and quality assurance of study deliverables, including final reports, manuscripts, posters and presentations
  • Preparation of proposals and business development with existing and new clients.
  • Staff training and management of project teams including junior and senior staff.
  • Project resourcing, tracking, forecasting and billing.
  • Maintaining awareness of current trends in pharmaceutical research and development, regulatory activities and health policy research

Qualifications:

  • Post graduate degree in related field and a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, or PhD and 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Training / experience in health economics and outcomes research; familiarity with clinical and epidemiologic research methods
  • Outstanding analytic and problem-solving skills; knowledge of statistics and quantitative methods
  • xperience with client relations and project management; aptitude for training and mentoring staff
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills; track record of publications and presentations
  • Experience with statistical software (SAS, SPSS), proficiency in Microsoft Office and Visual Basic for Applications a plus

The Group Health Research Institute is seeking candidates for a new faculty position in health services or health economics. This is a unique opportunity to collaborate with diverse colleagues and to develop an independent program of health services research in a large, defined population with state of the art health informatics systems.

The Institute is an internationally recognized academic research organization with a faculty of 35 MD and PhD investigators, 15 biostatisticians, and over 250 staff members. Principal Investigator: Behavioral Economics

The Principal Investigator for Behavioral Economics is a senior leader within the Healthways Center for Health Research responsible for leading and establishing a program of research to evaluate and demonstrate the value of human behavior change in impacting total population health, economics, and outcomes delivered by Healthways programs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a program designing scientifically valid research and econometric methodologies for multiple simultaneous studies to measure and articulate the total economic impact of behavior change and outcomes delivered by Healthways
  • Collaborate across departments to create valid scientific approaches to measuring Healthways programs and applying scientific method to evaluate Healthways program effectiveness as it relates to behavioral economics
  • Develop hypotheses to be tested and approaches for doing so in consultative collaboration
  • Analyze, measure, and report results from research on behavioral economics of large health care populations
  • Create written publications based on methodologies and techniques developed to measure Healthways programs
  • Manage team of analytics experts to mine data, execute statistical and quantitative analyses, and summarize results

  • A doctoral degree is required (Ph.D., Ed.D., DrPH) in behavioral economics; and 5 to 10 years of experience in health care / biomedical research
