IMS HEOR is led by consultants with many years of consulting, research and applied experience in pharmacy, medicine, health economics, outcomes research, health policy, epidemiology, pricing and market access. HEOR Analyst or Consultant
HEOR Analysts and Consultants deliver high quality, timely solutions to meet our client needs. Working in teams with experienced researchers in HEOR our consultants and analysts undertake research programmes and evaluations of the impact of health care interventions and the burden of a disease. Assignments typically require problem solving, active research, data analysis, economic modelling, interpretation communication and dissemination of our findings.
For the Analyst positions we will consider both people with consulting, industry and management experience in this field and also those who wish to develop their expertise in health economics consulting. The degree of management, project and technical responsibility offered will depend on the experience and ability of the individual.
For the Consultant positions the candidate will be expected to manage projects and to assume responsibility for client liaison, leading small teams and delivery to deadline. We would expect some experience in the pharmaceutical industry, in a consulting environment or at a similar level of responsibility in another organisation.
All applicants should have:
- BA/BSc in science, economics or related discipline and/or MSc/MPhil/PhD in economics/health economics health services research or a relevant related area is desirable.
- Post graduate work experience in a related area such as economics, health economics, statistics, psychology or science
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- High level of literacy - able to appraise evidence critically and write reports and manuscripts in clear, concise language as required by the type of work
- good organisational and project management skills and the ability to balance multiple projects
- fluent spoken and excellent written English is essential
We are particularly interested to receive applications from people who can demonstrate:
- an understanding of, or experience with, the pharmaceutical or related industries;
- familiarity with the organisation and financing of health care in developed countries;
- project management experience;
- numerical and quantitative skills, such as experience of epidemiological, financial, business or economic modelling;
- systematic review and meta analysis training and experience;
The ability to deliver high quality work within timelines is essential, as is a flexible and team- oriented approach. As a significant number of our clients are based overseas, projects involve occasional international travel.
