Salary: Grade 7 (£29,853 - £35,646 p.a) pro rata if applicable

As part of the on-going development of the Academic Unit of Health Economics, we are looking to appoint a Research Officer/Fellow to provide health economics support to Leeds Institute of Health Sciences and Leeds Dental Institute. This post is available immediately and is for a fixed term of 3 years.
You will work on a range of projects that include clinical trials, technology assessments and methodological research. You will support the Unit’s research programme with particular focus on dental health. Your main activities will include developing funding proposals, reviewing literature, managing study data and preparing it for analyses, preparing initial drafts of reports and assisting with analyses. You will also prepare results for publication and for presentation at national and international conferences. As a member of the Unit, you will be actively encouraged to develop your own research interests.
You will have a postgraduate qualification in health economics, economics or a related discipline, be substantially numerate with highly developed analytical abilities and familiar with handling quantitative data. Ideally you will have research experience in health care settings and of carrying out systematic reviews and/or economic evaluations.
