Interim Director - Centre for Progressive Health Financing

Locaion: London, UK

The UK government is committed to supporting countries to develop and implement pro-poor health financing policies that will accelerate progress towards universal coverage of effective health services, particularly for women and children.

DFID will support the development and launch of a new programme that will strengthen the evidence base and help countries to plan and implement progressive health financing reforms. On behalf of DFID, HLSP is looking for a senior consultant for 9-12 months to lead the design and consultation process, and to develop support for the launch of a centre or network to deliver these objectives.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A sound understanding of health financing in developing countries
  • A firm grasp of the ‘architecture’ of international aid to health
  • A track record of influencing and mobilising policy-makers
  • A high level of credibility with stakeholders and development partners

This is a full-time post based in London (with some overseas travel), although there is flexibility for the right candidate. We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from anywhere in the world. For more information email us at cphf@hlsp.org or visit http://www.hlsp.org.

HLSP is a member of the Mott MacDonald Group
