Lecturer in Mathematical Modelling: University of Birmingham

The Health Economics Unit of the School of Health and Population Sciences, University of Birmingham, seeks an able mathematical modeller, at Lecturer level, with a strong track record of both published research and teaching, preferably with some health economics experience. The successful candidate will play a leading role in the department’s programme of health modelling research activities of international repute, including both methodological and policy-relevant applied research, to complement the existing research work of the department. The Health Economics Unit and its setting in the College of Medical & Dental Sciences provide a stimulating research and teaching environment with a commitment to the twin goals of high standards and policy relevance in all of our activities.

Salary: Grade 8. Starting salary in the range of £36,532 to £43,622 a year (potential progression on performance once in post to £49,096).

Duration of post: fixed term until 31st March 2013 (in the first instance)
