Salary: £27,183 to £35,469 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience
These posts are available immediately and will be offered on a fixed-term contract for a period of two years. Applications are invited for two researchers with experience of health economics or medical statistics to support the work of the recently appointed Chair in the Economics of Health and Social Policy. Both posts will be based at the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care (CLAHRC), Jubilee Campus. One post will work with the Chair on economic evaluation within the CLAHRC including designing and implementing the evaluation of CLAHRC itself. The second post will work with the Chair on research projects for the MASCOT (childhood asthma), ABLE (orthotics in children), ACTIVE (orthopaedics) and DRIFT (orthopaedics) trials and support writing bids for future research funding. Candidates should have a PhD in health economics/medical statistics or equivalent qualification and experience and postgraduate training in research methods. They will require highly developed quantitative research skills including the ability to construct cost effectiveness acceptability curves.
