Research Assistant in Health Economics: Unit of Cancer Epidemiology and Centre for Oncologic Prevention, San Giovann

The Unit of Cancer Epidemiology and Regional Centre for Oncologic Prevention, situated as an academic unit within the San Giovanni Battista Hospital http://www.molinette.piemonte.it/ in Turin, is seeking to appoint a Research Assistant in Health Economics to join the ongoing project “Methods for clinical trials in oncology” within the Clinical Epidemiology group.
The appointed person will contribute to the study design and delivery of economic evaluation, alongside randomized controlled trials.
Minimum knowledge, skills and experience required:
- a MSc in health economics or similar discipline (e.g. Medical Statistics) with substantial training or work experience in health economics;
- good quantitative skills and preferably previous experience in cost-effectiveness evaluation (analysis of patient level data and modelling techniques);
- a good knowledge of English and basic knowledge of Italian languages.
The candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and interdisciplinary group; to develop scientific communication skills, along with developing his/her own research ideas.
A full-time position is available for a fixed term of one year with the possibility of an extension.
Gross base salary: €25,000.00
The candidate will be selected on the basis of an individual score, calculated using the following criteria:
- CV evaluation- 50 points, of which comprise: work experience- max 20 points; specific training- max 10 points; publications- max 20 points
- Interview following a minimum CV evaluation of 30 points (50 points).
