The University is seeking a high calibre candidate to work alongside Professor Cam Donaldson in contributing to and leading research in the newly created Yunus Centre for Social Business and Health. The distinctive research programme of the Centre is twofold:

(1) to evaluate the health-related, economic and social benefits of microfinance in disadvantaged communities in Scotland and elsewhere; and
(2) more generally, to develop and apply economics for use in health care planning and delivery.

The post will include working with groups in the Research Institutes for Applied Health and Society znd Social Justice and the wider University. The successful candidate will have an established national and growing international research profile in one or more areas of health economics as evidenced by publications, successful grants and collaborations. An established track record in the use and development of both qualitative and quantitative methods is essential.
