Senior Research Officer, Health Economics: University of Oxford - National Perinatal Epidemiology Unit

Applications are invited for a full-time Senior Research Officer in Health Economics within the National Perinatal Epidemiology Unit (NPEU), University of Oxford.
The successful applicant will join a vigorous research group specialising in economic aspects of perinatal health services, with strong collaborative links nationally and internationally.
The successful applicant will primarily have responsibility for three recently-funded studies: (i) an economic evaluation of progesterone prophylaxis to prevent preterm labour; (ii) an economic evaluation of an intelligent system to support decision making in the management of labour using the cardiotocogram; and (iii) an economic evaluation of adopting an upright maternal position with epidural during the second stage of labour.
The successful applicant will also be encouraged to apply for research funding to expand the health economics activity of the unit, take on managerial responsibilities and participate more broadly in the NPEU’s portfolio of research and teaching activities.
Candidates should have a postgraduate qualification in health economics, experience of managing health economics projects and a successful publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
