Health Economist/Research Scientist
Location: Morristown, New Jersey and Toronto, Canada
Oxford Outcomes is an international health research consultancy with offices in Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States. We have openings for qualified health economists/research scientists at our offices in Morristown, NJ and Toronto, Ontario. Successful candidates will hold an advanced degree (PhD, ScD, DrPH or equivalent) in a quantitative field, preferably in economics, epidemiology, pharmacy administration, or biostatistics, with a minimum of three years of relevant experience, including at least two years involving responsibility for project management. Individuals with an MA, MS, MPH or equivalent degree and at least five years of relevant experience also may be considered. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.
Successful applicants should be able to employ a variety of economic modeling techniques using appropriate software (e.g., Excel, TreeAge, or equivalent) and be proficient in the use of SAS or Stata for statistical analysis of insurance claims, EMR data, clinical trial data, and other large datasets. In addition to project management, the successful applicant will participate in interdisciplinary research teams, performing statistical analysis, developing medical decision models, conducting systematic literature reviews and meta-analyses, and writing project reports and manuscripts for publication.
