Job Description

RTI Health Solutions, a business unit of RTI International, is seeking a Health Economics Research Scientist in the Health Economics division. This position will be based in Research Triangle Park, NC.

Responsibilities

  • The qualified candidate will be responsible for conducting health economics research projects involving decision-analytic modeling, literature reviews, report writing, and project management under the direction of senior staff.
  • In addition, the candidate will be responsible for presenting project findings to clients, as well as at professional conferences.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in health economics, operations research, industrial engineering, mathematics, computer science, decision sciences, or a related field
  • Highly successful academic career and an interest in health care and the pharmaceutical industry
  • At least two years contract research or related experience
  • Experience in decision-analytic modeling
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Extensive computer experience, particularly in Excel, preferably in Visual Basic for Applications
  • Must work well independently and as part of a team
  • Very detailed oriented
