Full Professor in Health Economics: University of Lausanne

The Faculty of Business and Economics (HEC) and the Faculty of Biology and Medecine of the University of Lausanne invite applications for a Full Professor in Health Economics to begin August 1st, 2010 or as mutually agreed.

We seek applicants who demonstrate a strong interest in and commitment to cutting-edge research and teaching in health economics. Successful candidates will have to teach at the Bachelor and Master levels, supervise Ph.D thesis, and conduct research in health economics. The candidate is expected to be fluent in English and should be able to teach in French after a reasonable adaptation period.

The successful candidate will also be required to manage the Institute of Health Economics and Management (IEMS) of the University of Lausanne, with the following missions:

  • Responsible for the Institute’s overall strategy
  • Head of research in the field of Health Economics
  • Animation of the Swiss School of Public Health+ (SSPH+)’s Ph.D programme

Candidates must hold a PhD in Economics, have a proven record of teaching and international-level research as well leadership abilities.
