The Division of Health Policy and Management, School of Public Health, University of Minnesota is recruiting two faculty members to teach and conduct research in the areas of federal and state health policy, health decision sciences, long-term care and aging, medical sociology, management/organizational behavior, racial and ethnic disparities, public health systems, and/or outcomes research. We are not recruiting health economists at this time. Successful candidates will join a multi-disciplinary faculty of 29. Tenure or tenure-track appointments will be considered at the assistant and associate professor levels, based on experience and qualifications.

The Division has four active teaching programs with a combined enrollment of over 200 students, including an MPH in Public Health Administration and Policy, a Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) program, and MS and PhD programs in Health Services Research, Policy and Administration. The Division is one of four in the School of Public Health, which is located in a large Academic Health Center, and enjoys close working relations with a variety of health care programs and organizations locally and across the country, as well as governmental agencies at the local, state and national levels. Duties include: collaborate with and lead efforts to design research projects, acquire funding and conduct high-quality research; publish peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and/or books; teach and advise MHA, MPH, MS, and PhD students; and serve on Division, School, University, and community committees.

Applicants must have a doctorate in health services research, health policy, or a related discipline or field and either the potential for or demonstrated excellence in research, teaching, and advising master’s and doctoral students in their field commensurate with the level of appointment.
