The Department of Health Care Organization and Policy, School of Public Health, University of Alabama at Birmingham seeks a tenured/tenure-track faculty member, rank and tenure status commensurate with qualifications. The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D./ScD. in economics, health policy, or related area. The candidate should have research interests in cost effectiveness, clinical decision making, outcomes research, and research methods. The candidate will be expected to mount an independent research agenda and collaborate with others in the department, as well as other social scientist and clinicians in an interdisciplinary setting. The candidate will be expected to be competitive in obtaining extramural funding to support his or her research and a portion of the candidate’s annual salary. Initial duties include teaching Cost-Effectiveness Research Methods. Applicants should send a letter of interest, curriculum vita, and the names of references.
