Clinical Assistant Professor (Economist)

The University of Florida College of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmaceutical Outcomes & Policy, is seeking a time limited, non-tenure-track, Clinical Assistant Professor. This is a full-time, 12-month, time-limited appointment, renewed annually.

The successful candidate will teach health economics and pharmacoeconomics to graduate students enrolled in the department’s online Master’s program and to residential professional pharmacy students. Teaching responsibilities will also include didactic classroom instruction at all four campuses (primarily in Gainesville, with periodic trips to Jacksonville, Orlando and St. Petersburg). The Department has a long history of collaborative research, and some contribution to the scholarly mission of the Department will be expected. Service responsibilities will include committee memberships and departmental organization.

The position is available to beginning September 1, 2009.

Minimum Requirements: Earned doctorate in economics or a related field with relevant postdoctoral training or experience.

Preferred Qualifications: A background in pharmacy and familiarity with educational technologies such as Blackboard and Elluminate.
