National/International call for PostDocs
Dear friends and colleagues,
ACIISI (Canary Islands Agency for Research, Innovation and the Information Society) jointly with ULPGC (University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria) http://www.ulpgc.es announce the opening of a National/International call for Post Doctoral researchers to join one of the research lines on the Tecnicas Estadisticas Bayesianas y de Decision en Economia y Empresa (TEBA) Group of its Department of Quantitative Methods in Economics and Management on: (1) Bayesian techniques in health economics, and/or (2) Bayesian methodologies in actuarial statistics, and/or (3) Statistical toolbox in auditing: the Bayesian perspective, (4) Location, competitive location and GIS, (5) Adjustment and updating of social accounting matrices , (6) Input-output analysis applied to general equilibrium, (7) Bibliometric indexes.
Outstanding candidates in other areas of applied Bayesian statistics are also encouraged to apply.
The position is offered for a one-year period. The salary will be based on ACIISI and ULPGC regulations for these contracts. The contract may be renewed for a maximum of two additional years, contingent on ACIISI’s research needs. Any renewal of the contract will depend on satisfactory research performance by the candidate. Successful candidates are also expected to actively seek external funding to support their research activities. Conversational knowledge of Spanish is a plus. In any case, it would help the candidate to learn Spanish through ULPGC’s language centre.
