Research Assistant / Research Officer (Health Economics and/or Epidemiology): The Population Health Intervention Research Centre at the University of Calgary
Location: Calgary, Alberta, Canada
Closing Date: Position will remain open until filled
The Population Health Intervention Research Centre at the University of Calgary is looking for someone to join a small research team evaluating the cost-effectiveness of interventions designed to increase physical activity through improvements in the walkability of neighbourhoods. We have measured the walkability of the neighbourhoods and assessed physical activity levels of the residents. We now require someone with training in health economics and / or epidemiology to evaluate the costs of measures designed to improve walkability and model the subsequent health outcomes and cost-offsets to assess cost-effectiveness. The successful applicant will also have the opportunity to participate in other projects in PHIRC.
This is a limited term appointment of up to two years maximum. Starting salary in the range of $37,620 to $54,728 will depend on research experience and qualifications. For an informal discussion, please email Alan Shiell (ashiell@ucalgary.ca). Interested applicants should email their curriculum vitae, a statement of research interests and accomplishments, and the names of three references to Lindsay Bradshaw (bradshaw@ucalgary.ca).
