Full-Time, Tenure Track Faculty Position: Department of Health Management and Policy, College of Health and Human Services, University of New Hampshire (UNH)

The Department of Health Management and Policy in the College of Health and Human Services at the University of New Hampshire is pleased to invite applications for a full-time, tenure track faculty position, rank open. Candidates must possess an earned doctorate in health management/policy (with expertise/experience in health care organizational management or health informatics), public health (with expertise/experience in epidemiology, biostatistics or public health program administration), or closely related discipline. Candidates with evidence of successful teaching experience are valued as are ones prepared to engage in collaborative research in a multidisciplinary setting. Applied and research experience in the area of Health Management or Policy and strong methodological skills are desirable.
The Department offers an AUPHA-certified baccalaureate program in Health Management and Policy, with options in Health Management and Public Health, a CEPH-accredited MPH program, and a Graduate Public Health Certificate Program. The graduate programs draw faculty from multiple colleges and departments in the University. The Carsey Institute is a nationally recognized policy institute conducting research on families and communities, with a core research faculty and research support as well as research assistantships for graduate students in Community, Health and Environment. In addition, two other College Institutes that focus on research and policy in the state, the New Hampshire Institute for Health Policy and Practice and the Institute on Disabilities provide a wide range of opportunities for applied research related to state or national public health issues.
UNH is a Doctoral/Research Extensive University and a comprehensive land-grant, space-grant, and sea-grant institution. It receives more than $100 million in externally-funded research support and is well known for its integration of research and undergraduate education. UNH has approximately 11,000 undergraduate students and 2,000 graduate students. It combines the living learning environment of a small New England liberal arts college with the breadth, spirit of discovery, and civic involvement of a land-grant research institution.
UNH is located in Durham, New Hampshire within minutes of Maine and New Hampshire seacoasts and within 45 minutes of New Hampshire’s White Mountains, State capital, and largest urban communities. It is approximately one hour from Boston, Massachusetts and Portland, Maine, and has passenger rail services to both.
