Market Access Manager

Location: UK

Main Purpose of Job:

  • Provide leadership in developing and implementing Market Access Provide process and technical expertise in Health Technology Appraisal submissions
  • Has and establishes relationships with health economic opinion leaders, and reimbursement agencies
  • Works in collaboration with government affairs colleagues to influence national reimbursement policies
  • Responsible for overseeing the local adaptation of European Market Access materials (e.g. value repositories, cost-effectiveness models, budget impact models)
  • Provides – in close co-operation with marketing colleagues – support and guidance to field based activities including the production of materials to support local commissioning of products

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership of Health Technology Appraisal (HTAs) in the UK and Ireland in close cooperation with Medical and Marketing colleagues
  • Provides support to the Marketing strategies of products understanding the critical importance of both national (i.e. HTA) and local (i.e. PCT / network based commissioning) Market Access for business success
  • Initiates the most effective and timely strategy to obtain Market Access for products in the UK and Ireland in the context of optimising local, European and global revenues
  • In collaboration with Government Affairs colleagues maintains / establishes a Market Access advisory network including health economic and clinical opinions leaders, patient groups and policy makers in the UK and Ireland
  • In collaboration with government affairs colleagues initiates and organizes high level events (e.g. advisory boards, stakeholders summit meeting) to support Market Access activities
  • In collaboration with Clinical Research and European Health Economic colleagues provides input to global clinical development plans to ensure delivery of data necessary for optimal reimbursement of Celgene products in the UK and Ireland

Requirements:

  • experience in the UK health care or pharmaceutical industry
  • A university degree
  • Post graduate qualification in health economics, health policy or relevant experience
  • Demonstrates process and technical expertise in UK and Ireland reimbursement processes
  • Excellent social style and behavioral skills and a representative appearance are essential
  • Is a very good internal and external communicator
  • Preferably has experience working with reimbursement stakeholders
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proven project management skills
  • Flexible team member with positive attitude and ability to prioritise projects
  • Ability to influence and persuade both internal and external stakeholders
