Faculty Position at the University of Michigan, Department of Health Management and Policy

Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA

The Department of Health Management and Policy at the University of Michigan School of Public Health seeks candidates for a tenure-track assistant professor faculty position in health economics. Minimum requirements include an earned doctorate in economics and a health-related research agenda. Teaching experience in microeconomics or health economics is desirable.

The ideal person for the position has strong research and applied econometric skills and a research agenda that focuses on important health policy and health services issues. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the educational missions of the department, which includes teaching courses in economics for the doctoral and masters degree programs and mentoring graduate students.

The department is multidisciplinary. The faculty including economists, sociologists, physicians, lawyers, public health policy and health care services researchers, and specialists in the management sciences. The faculty is engaged in a large portfolio of cutting-edge health policy and health services research.
