Junior Chair, 2009: EHESP School of Public Health (France)

The EHESP School of Public Health is offering a Junior Chair in Economics through its Institute of Management.

The EHESP School of Public Health, which gathers several research centres & departments associated to the Institute of Management, is seeking for an enthusiastic candidate in economics to join a friendly and multi-disciplinary team. Applicants should demonstrate a strong background in econometrics and statistics The PhD should be completed by the date of the appointment in a relevant area and show evidence of publications (or forthcoming publications).

The successful candidate will conduct independent research of international standards and is also expected to contribute to current research projects as well as to support activities of training. Practice of English is compulsory. Knowledge of French is NOT required.

The chair will start on Sept 1, 2009 or Oct 1, 2009 for a period of six years corresponding to a three year contract renewable once after a “mid-term ” review. The chair might then be offered permanent positions (tenure) in the EHESP School of Public Health or in the French academic system, once an evaluation performed.
