Full-time Nonacademic - Prevention Effectiveness (PE) Fellowships: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is offering up to five fellowship slots in the Prevention Effectiveness (PE) Fellowship program for 2009.

Fellows will design and conduct studies in areas of applied economics, health services research, economic evaluations of public health interventions, and quantitative policy analyses; work closely with national and international public health experts; and teach courses in prevention effectiveness methods.

Applicants must have a doctoral degree in economics, decision sciences, health services research or related health sciences, industrial engineering, operations research, public policy, or related quantitatively-oriented fields. The Fellowship begins at the end of June 2009 and last for 2 years. The starting annual salary will be approximately $70,000 plus benefits. Deadline for receipt of all application materials is December 1, 2008.
