Location: Antwerp, Belgium
The Vaccine & Infectious Disease Institute was established within the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Antwerp (UA). This Institute consists of the Laboratory of Medical Microbiology, the Laboratory of Experimental Hematology, and the Centre for the Evaluation of Vaccination (CEV). The Centre for Health Economics Research and Modelling of Infectious Diseases (CHERMID) is a collaborating unit, mainly of the CEV within the Institute. The unit is headed by Prof. Philippe Beutels. Researcher in health economics
Profile
Essential: Masters degree in Economic sciences (eg, Applied, Social or Health Economics, Commercial Engineering) or Biostatistics
- Excellent quantitative skills and practical knowledge of standard statistical software
- Excellent knowledge of English, both oral and written
- Experience/ Education in health economics is desirable
- Good communicative skills
- Good knowledge of French and/or Dutch is desirable
Function
- Setting up studies for data collection (cost and quality of life studies)
- Statistical data analysis
- Assisting in model-based health economic evaluations
- Making written and oral reports of study methods and results
- Developing new research proposals
Practical information:
Full time position
Start date: as soon as possible (negotiable)
Residency: Belgium
Duration: one year contract, extendable pending positive evaluation
Possibility to develop doctoral thesis
