Researcher (2 posts): Health Economics Research Group (HERG)
Location: Uxbridge, London, England, UK
Closing date: 24 October 2008.
MATCH, funded principally by EPSRC, is a multi-disciplinary collaborative research programme, one whose main themes focuses around economic evaluation of medical devices. These two posts will both contribute to this work which includes on-going projects on the value of safety and on the use of Bayesian methods. (See MATCH website). The posts will be based in the Health Economics Research Group at Brunel University which has a long-standing and internationally recognised programme of policy-relevant applied and methodological research in economic evaluation and other aspects of Health economics (See HERG website).
Two posts are available and it is expected that one will be made at H3 level and the other at R1 level. In both cases applicants should have post-graduate training or research experience in health economics, ideally in economic evaluation, or in a closely related field or discipline.
The more senior post will involve taking day-to-day responsibility for specified projects and will require evidence of appropriate experience. The more junior post might interest a newly qualified post-graduate wanting to gain initial research experience in applied health economics.
The initial appointments will be for 3 years.
