Director / Manager, Global Health Outcomes (Respiratory and Immuno-Inflammation): GSK

Location: Stockley Park, West London, SE England, UK

GSK’s diverse and innovative respiratory and immuno-inflammation product pipeline has been developed with a view to targeting several disease areas including Asthma, COPD, Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, Acute Lung Injury, Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome, Allergy and Bronchiolitis obliterans (Respiratory), Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriasis, Crohn’s Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, Lupus and Hyper Eosinophilic Syndrome (II).

This role will offer the incumbent the responsibility for steering the HO strategy for assets in early discovery through to Phase III and launch.

Job Details:

In this key role, you will provide leadership in the development of strategies and evidence packages to demonstrate the value of key assets in GSK’s Respiratory and II pipeline. With a primary target of securing global pricing, reimbursement and access in an increasingly difficult market environment, this is a high profile role within GSK and offers excellent opportunities for the right candidate to demonstrate their effectiveness and develop their own capabilities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Health Outcomes strategies within disease/product level to support the commercial objectives of GSK products during development and launch.
  • Research and represent insights from the global pricing reimbursement and access environment to support the strategic direction of assets and develop appropriate evidence throughout research and development.
  • Provide relevant outcome strategies, to develop, translate and analyse patient reported outcomes to support effective registration and product differentiation.
  • Represent HO and manage relationships within matrix bodies to ensure provision of HO information to support internal decision making during product development and commercialisation.
  • Execute the funding principles and effectively drive the budget building process for HO projects with relevant sponsors.
  • Represents GHO at a disease and product level at external scientific meetings and forums.

Basic qualifications required:

  • MSc, PhD, MD, MPH, or PharmD.
  • Experience in health outcomes, reimbursement and market access or a related field.
  • Experience of working within, or for, the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Business knowledge, financial acumen and project management experience.
  • Knowledge of tactical application of Health Outcomes research at the therapy and product level.

Preferred qualifications:

Demonstrated behavioural competencies will include: strong matrix, interpersonal and influencing skills, customer focus, leadership, demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external health outcomes key opinion leaders and building partnerships. Experience in respiratory and or immuno-inflammatory (II) diseases will be advantageous.
