Senior Manager, Healthcare Finance

EMG is currently seeking a Senior Manager with technical expertise in Healthcare Systems/ Healthcare Financing for a position in our Arlington, VA office (located at Courthouse Metro on the Orange Line). The opening is in our Healthcare Practice Unit - a recognized leader in both private sector strategies and innovations, and public sector strengthening in international healthcare - with a portfolio of projects that includes health systems reform, reproductive health, maternal/child health, HIV/AIDS, and other infectious diseases.

The Senior Manager will be responsible for leading teams in proposals and project management; developing and overseeing client/partner/consultant relationships; providing technical guidance on health systems/healthcare financing; and guiding business development activities. The Senior Manager will manage and mentor members of the healthcare team.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree required (MPH, MBA, Economics preferred).
  • 10+ years experience successfully designing, implementing and managing international health projects.
  • Proven experience successfully implementing activities in health systems, health sector reform and healthcare financing.
  • Detailed knowledge of and experience working with major international donor agencies (USAID experience preferred).
  • Relevant experience includes health systems, health economics, health financing, decentralization, research, survey design, evaluation, reform design and implementation, and community-based health insurance.
  • Excellent conceptual and writing skills with the ability to lead proposal efforts.
  • Ability to perform and prioritize a variety of tasks within assigned deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience in marketing for and securing donor agency contracts.
  • Proficiency in English with foreign languages preferred.
  • Must be able to travel up to 25%.
  • U.S. work authorization required.
