Research Fellow (Level A/B): Faculty of Business, Centre for Health Economics Research and Evaluation (CHERE)

CHERE is a Research Centre at the University of Technology Sydney, Australia. CHERE is a joint initiative of the Faculty of Business and the Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery and Health; it has strong links to economists in other Sydney universities, established collaborative relationships with a range of clinicians, and is well represented in policy making forums.

We are now seeking to appoint health economists/health services researchers with various levels of experience to work on CHERE’s existing portfolio of contract research and a number newly funded projects in health care evaluation. New projects include the health technology assessment of Medical Services Advisory Committee (MSAC) applications.

Applicants for the position should have a graduate (level A) or post-graduate (level B) qualification in health economics or a relevant field, and experience in conducting economic evaluation (level B), good quantitative skills and familiarity with the Australian health care system.

Positions are available at Research Fellow level (A/B) depending upon experience. The appointments will be for a fixed term of three years, with the possibility of renewal depending on funding and performance.

Salary ranges: Level A $54,840 to $66,791 per annum
Level B $70,309 to $83,474 per annum
The University offers salary packaging plus 17% employer contribution superannuation.
