Director, Market Access and Pricing (Switzerland)
Location: Switzerland
Job Summary: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Director of Market Access and Pricing for a global pharmaceutical company in Switzerland.
Responsibilities
- Lead global market access, reimbursement and pricing strategies for new product launches and lifecycle management of marketed products
- Lead strategic pricing analysis to inform development and commercialisation strategies
- Lead and develop Medical Marketing activities as relates to quality of life and cost effectiveness messages for key brands in all therapy areas to communicate added value of key products
- Drive publication strategy together with Global Brand Managers to support commercial positioning of key brands
- Monitor pricing and reimbursement environment and inform senior management of current and future market access developments
- Educate across all levels and disciplines within corporate and local operations on the importance and content of market access strategies
- Support local M&S companies in implementing market access and pricing strategies aligned with global commercial strategy
- Work on Key Opinion Leader development in cooperation with local and global teams to support market access, pricing and commercialisation strategies, and to position as a leader in this area in its key therapeutic categories
- Provide strategic input to congresses and commercial symposia and to ensure alignment of key messages for promotion activities and publications
- Provide strategic pricing and market access input into planning, design and implementation of all relevant Phase III/IV clinical development programmes
- Develop global and regional launch sequencing to optimise pricing opportunity aligned with commercialisation strategy
- Evaluate relevant Business Development opportunities from pricing and market access perspective to ensure optimal product commercialisation.
Experience Required
- Post-graduate (Master’s or PhD) degree in Health Economics or related disciplines
- Extensive experience in market access (reimbursement) & pricing function within
- pharmaceutical industry, experience in Global / European / International functions a strong advantage
- Established experience working with payer groups
- Established publication record in health economics
- Working knowledge of clinical drug development processes would be an asset
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build good working relationships both internally and externally
- Ability to combine strategic vision with tactical hands-on execution and a high work capacity
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Team player with the ability to work under own initiative as well as motivate others
- Change oriented - able to adapt according to market dynamics and needs without losing strategic focus
- Understanding of the local and global marketing needs of a growing company.

Health Outcomes Senior Manager, Outstanding Opportunity, UK/South East

Background: This is a fantastic opportunity to work for one of the world’s largest Pharmaceutical companies in a pivotal and highly important role. We are looking for an experienced Health Economics Manager with experience of making submissions to NICE and SMC for Health Technology Assessments (HTA). You will be reporting directly into the Head of Health Outcomes and be responsible for mentoring and supervising more junior members of the team.
Primary duties: As the senior manager for Health Outcomes, you will develop Health Outcomes Strategies, design studies to support new and existing products, developing and supporting submissions for HTA bodies and work closely across multifunctional teams.
You will have the opportunity to really drive forward health outcomes strategies using your considerable experience and influence in the area to influence Key Opinion Leaders and liaise with HTA bodies and NHS customers.
Qualifications:
- Economic, Mathematical or Life Sciences Degree.
- A higher Degree in Health Economics or Related Field.
- Prior Experience in a similar role.
