Director, Global Pricing Reimbursement & Access (Belgium)

Location: Belgium

Job Summary: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Director of Global Pricing Reimbursement and Access for a global biopharmaceutical company in Belgium.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing PRA strategies for development products in collaboration with the Development and Commercial teams and ensure the payer perspective is fully taken into account in the development plans ;
  • Supporting BD&L when PRA expertise is required during due diligences ;
  • Identifying proactively PRA changes that could impact key brands globally, including price cuts, formulary placement, de-listing, OTC (over-the-counter) switches and propose strategies to minimize global impact of local healthcare budget decisions;
  • Identifying short and long-term challenges in key markets through regular contacts with local teams and follow-up of large reforms of the healthcare systems; To model the impact of changes on the business and propose contingency plans ;
  • Leading cross-functional teams (clinical, outcomes research, regulatory, marketing, legal) to produce Value propositions and Value dossiers for key brands, that will be adapted locally by affiliates in accordance with the local requirement

Experience Required

  • Educated at least to graduate level in life sciences, candidates are likely to have a PhD and an MBA or similar qualification. Will have had training in Health economics.
  • At least 7 years of experience in pricing and reimbursement negotiations at a European and/or North American level ; Asian experience would be an asset;
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Understanding of the pharmaceutical business
  • Capacity to understand the different therapeutic areas
  • High level negotiations skills/ ability to convince ;
  • Ability to develop and implement economic models and complex pricing studies;
  • Clearly highly numerate and outstanding analytical skills.
