Part-time Tutors and Project Supervisors for Distance Learning MSc Public Health: London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine

The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine is one of the leading schools of public health and tropical medicine in Europe, and Britain’s national school of public health. The School offers a number of distance learning postgraduate courses, including an MSc degree in Public Health. We are looking to recruit subject specialists in the following areas, to join our pool of part-time distance learning tutors and project supervisors:
- Statistics and Epidemiology
- Environmental Epidemiology
- Environmental Health
- Communicable disease control in middle- and high-income countries
- Health Care Evaluation
- Health Economics
- Decision Modelling
- Health Services Management and/or Organisational Management
- Financial Management
- Social Research
- Health Promotion
- Medical Anthropology
- Globalisation and Health
- Health Policy
The positions offer flexible working hours from home, anywhere in the world. Many of our tutors combine the role with consultancy work, studying or taking a career break, in order to retain contact with their subject area(s). Training in distance learning tutoring will be provided.
Applicants must have a postgraduate degree and experience in their field. Successful applicants may specify how much work they wish to do, but we are particularly keen to recruit tutors who are able to perform a range of tasks, and can provide support throughout the academic year. Field Economics Director
In this role, you will collaborate with other field-based Economics Directors, Managed Markets field-based and HQ staff, and Medical Affairs National Account Managers to provide customer liaison between AstraZeneca HQ functions/teams and key Managed Markets, Employer and Governmental customers and/or organizations. Responsibilities will include ensuring that Field Economics outputs meet the standards and needs of internal and external customers, coordinating presentations of research results, maintaining process standards, and participating in the prioritization of marketing needs.
To qualify, you must have an advanced degree and 5-7 years of experience in health services research, biological science, public health, outcomes research or a related field. Ideal candidates will also possess broad experience in the U.S. health care industry and/or managed care, knowledge of pharmaceutical drug development and marketing processes, and an advanced understanding of clinical and/or scientific issues and concepts.
