Health Economics Manager

Location: North Ryde, Australia

This role is the ideal opportunity for an experienced Health Economics Associate to take the next step and become a Project Manager in a top tier pharmaceutical company. As an established leader in the pharmaceutical industry, our client is in the enviable position of having one of the strongest product pipelines in the Australian market. They are seeking an experienced Health Economist to joint their Pricing and Reimbursement team in North Ryde.

The Health Economics Project Manager’s key responsibilities are:

  • Contributing to the organisation’s success by focusing on the commercialisation of new and emerging products
  • Developing reimbursement submissions and optimising brand access both in the marketplace and their overall lifecycle
  • Supporting and developing your colleagues via effectively mentoring and delegating as appropriate, enabling personal development and career management
  • Focusing on the longer term strategies required to present the best reimbursement submissions possible

The successful candidate will have:

  • Appropriate tertiary and/or post-graduate qualifications
  • A considerable level of Health Economics experience including submissions knowledge
  • The ability and desire to take their career to the next level via mentoring and supporting colleagues
  • A strategic approach to Health Economics, enjoying working within a team to find the most effective approach to reimbursements
  • A demonstrated ability to assess risks associated with various reimbursement and pricing strategies plus develop contingency plans to ensure the risk is managed
  • Good relationships with PBAC department members and feel confident in dealing with a variety of stakeholders
