Manager, Pharmacoeconomics, position for global pharmaceutical company

Location: Laval, Quebec, Canada

Reports to: Director, Medical and Corporate Affairs

Summary of job function:

The Manager, Pharmacoeconomics is responsible to manage pharmacoeconomic projects and cost-impact analysis to support our reimbursement strategy. As well, the Manager of Pharmacoeconomics will inform and assess new changes in pharmacoeconomic guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Create, develop and/or assess economic models suitable to support our reimbursement strategies;
  • Coordinate and if necessary develop provincial budget impact analysis;
  • Build model revenues to help the team in the pricing or other reimbursement strategies and decisions;
  • Perform cost analysis for the private sector;
  • Build a network among Canadians, pharmacoeconomists and outcome researchers;
  • When required, participate in various projects or tasks to support Market Access;
  • Interact with International Pharmacoeconomics Staff.

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge in pharmacoeconomic models;
  • Working knowledge in various cost analysis;
  • General knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry with more advanced knowledge in drug reimbursement;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Excellent understanding of pharma business;
  • Computer literacy (MS Office);
  • Bilingualism is an asset;
  • The ideal candidate will possess a university degree in economy (B. Sc., M. Sc.) with a specialization in pharmacoeconomics combined with working experience in the pharmaceutical industry in this field.
