Health Economics and Reimbursement Manager - Netherlands
Location: Europe
The Role: You will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining reimbursement strategies and adapting health economics models and tools. Core focus: Understanding and development of Medical Device reimbursement in assigned countries (specifically the UK) which means fully knowledge of the UK healthcare system, health insurance system and payment flows for existing and new products. What is Required * University level education in Health Economics or Business and/or relevant Technical discipline. * At least 2 years progressive business experience in the (UK ) health care environment. * Good working knowledge of finance and pricing in a healthcare environment. * Strong project management skills. * Ability to undertake travel and a demanding work schedule.

Health Economics Manager
Health Economics Manager We are seeking an experienced Health Economist to provide strategic leadership for the development of economic strategies and the global evidence/value dossiers in support of affiliate pricing, reimbursement and funding activities. This will entail coordinating product-specific work of health economics, outcomes research, reimbursement and strategic pricing experts, as well as affiliates in the major health care markets in preparation of local health technology assessments and pricing/reimbursement negotiations. Other tasks will include evaluating clinical trials for inclusion of recommended economic endpoints, supporting the design of health economic tools.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Help to develop market access strategies and value propositions for in-line products and drugs in development
- Help to develop value / pricing & reimbursement / HTA dossiers supporting formulary inclusion, reimbursement and pricing
- Design and implement health economic studies - from study concept stage to final report, including burden of illness studies, PRO/QoL studies, drug utilization reviews, prospective or retrospective observational studies and database analyses
- Build global cost-effectiveness and budget impact analyses and adapt these to country-specific requirements
- Perform evidence-based literature searches, summarize results, and provide interpretation of findings
- Develop and/or review abstracts, posters, and scientific publications derived from clinical and health economic studies
- Provide input into clinical trial and clinical development plans; ensure inclusion of endpoints and study populations relevant for reimbursement & pricing
- Provide input into business plans
- Work closely with Business Teams, Clinical Development Teams, and Affiliates; represent Health Economics function at internal and external meetings (if necessary)
- Build relationships with internal & external stakeholders; develop and maintain a strong professional health economic network
- Identify, select, and oversee consultants and CROs executing health economic projects
Education, Skills and Competencies:
- First degree in Economics, Health Economics (or similar), Biology or Applied Health field with postgraduate Health Economics (M.Sc or PhD).
- At least 2 years of experience in conducting health economic and/or outcomes research for pharmaceutical and/or medical device products in the pharmaceutical industry or other closely related area (e.g., contract research organization). Strong strategic as well as analytical / technical skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, other languages (French, German) would be a plus. Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team
Desired:
- Knowledge of market access and pricing & reimbursement requirements in Europe and/or the US
