Outcomes Research Scientist

Lilly is expanding its Global Health Outcomes function and is seeking qualified candidates for numerous Outcomes Research Scientist positions. The Scientist is responsible for providing scientific expertise and effective project oversight to ensure the development and delivery of the necessary and needed information that informs the development of Lilly molecules and is valued by payers, providers, and patients. The Scientist effectively communicates complex concepts to internal and external business partners, along with scientific communities, in support of health outcomes research. Moreover, the Scientist provides technical and scientific leadership to influence cross-functional initiatives.

Qualified candidates will have an advanced degree, including Ph.D., M.D., or master’s degree, with 5 years of experience in an appropriate discipline (e.g., economics, epidemiology, health administration, pharmacy, health services, medicine, pharmacoeconomics, psychology, statistics, or other relevant sciences). Previous training and experience in designing and conducting research and disseminating the results in the areas of health economics, economic modeling, clinical trials, cost-effectiveness evaluation, PRO instrument development, observational/epidemiologic research, health technology assessment, and/or health care policy is preferred. Clinical or therapeutic expertise in the areas of neuroscience, oncology, endocrine, cardiovascular, acute care, or inflammation is desired. Individual must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a diverse team environment.
